“Praise the Lord! with all my heart I will thank the Lord.”

Girls’ High School and College is a leading educational institution of Prayagraj. The school has completed 162 glorious years of serving the cause of education. Be it infrastructure, quality and commitment of the staff or performance of students both academically and co-curricular activities, GHS stands out.

In the session 2023, we had one All India Topper in ISC. Mawra Naseeb of the Humanities stream secured the Third All India Rank in ISC.

The new Session started on 2nd April, 2023 with classes in full swing. The College Section faculty was enthusiastic to teach the new classes.

Our faculty takes great interest in solving the problems of the students.

With the intense cold conditions, the schools were closed by DM’s order. But GHS continued online teaching. We were able to complete the syllabus timely and prepared our students for Board Exams.

The Half Yearly Result and Preliminary Result of the students of 2023 were good. Students studied hard and teachers were satisfied with their performance. Their ISC Board Exams started from 12th February, 2024 to 20th March 2024. Class XI students also performed well in their Half Yearly Exams and started preparing for the upcoming Final Exams. Their Final Exams commenced from 26th February 2024 to 7th March 2024.

The New Office Bearers of the session 2023-24 were installed on 7 August, 2023.

The new Head Girl Sushmita Mitra took over the charge with an enthusiastic zeal.

The Founders’ Day was celebrated on 5th November 2023 with GHS and BHS Badge Holders, students and faculty marching up to All Saints’ Cathedral.

The main events that took place in the session 2023-24 were: – English and Hindi Elocution, Annual Prize Day, Club Activities, Teacher’s Day, Annual Sports Day, Christmas Function and Annual Fete.

White Gift Week was celebrated in the first week of December 2023.

On 20th December, Head Girl, Sports Captain, and other Students, along with five other students of class XI – D visited the Blind School and Shelter Home in Prayagraj. These five students of class XI – D had baked cakes for them. Our girls shared joy and happiness with the girls of the Blind School. It was a very touching sight.

We were a part of Pran Pratishtha celebration on 22nd January 2024. Our Principal, Rev. Dr. V. Eusebius organised a programme, ‘Mera Diya Mera Anand’ and hundreds of Diyas were lighted in the school campus.

Our girls had taken active part in extracurricular activities. In Alfresco and Josephest we secured the runners up Trophy.
In the swachhta Pakhwara activity students planted green saplings and cleaned the school campus.

In National Sports Day, our girls participated in various Sports Activities.

I must also mention the Annual Sports Day held on 25th November, 2023 in which Yellow House bagged the cock House Shield.

We were able to successfully hold all these events because of the motivation, encouragement and guidance by our Principal, Rev. Dr. V. Eusebius.

Our Principal is the guiding force and her efforts have taken our school to greater heights. She has been in constant touch with students and inspires them to work hard in studies and the result is the school reaching the Top.

May God, the Almighty, the source of all blessings continue to grant us wisdom to reach further heights.
